The generic houses across the street are avoided by inverse bay windows which look up and down to the hills at either end.

Inside the stair carves a large volumetric opening that brings light to the entry. The house is stacked with living areas at the top to optimize light and view, bedrooms below, and a studio unit and garage at grade.
